Life has returned to normal...The Office is back on! Thank goodness my Thursdays will be humorous once again. Last night we spent a great 30 minutes laughing at the attempt at a dinner party. My favorite part was Jim's attempt to get out of it half way through.

INTERCOURSE CANNING COMPANY

Friday morning, our first stop in Lancaster County was a canning company. Steve was a little apprehensive at first, until he discovered all the delicious samples distributed throughout the store. We truly found some incredible recipe ideas for canning this year: Jalapeno Pepper Jam was a big favorite!
STURGIS STAND-UP

Our last stop in Lancaster County on Friday was supposed to be the grandest . . . a visit to the oldest pretzel factory in the world: Julius Sturgis Pretzel Factory. Although the magnitude of the factory/tour did not live up to our expectations, the humorous manner in which our young tour guide conducted our tour more than made up for the lack of pretzel paraphernalia!
"SUITE" DREAMS
HERSHEY HEAVEN

Sunday Mom had her big debut as the only soprano in my ward choir. Steve was actually the only tenor attending for the majority of practice, so Mom had another family member equally annoyed that I hauled them both to choir with me. Regardless, she sang beautifully!!!!
We did a little cooking that afternoon and had a delicious meal . . . thanks for all your talents in the kitchen, Mom!

On Wednesday, Mom & I ventured to South Norwalk to tour the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion and to visit my favorite European chocolate restaurant, Chocopologie. However, we were so excited about one more chocolate stop, that we neglected to pay the parking meter and got a ticket! Obviously, you all know the ticket was just the beginning of my driving worries last week :).
We also ate at our favorite Vietnamese Restaurant in W. Hartford that evening. Mom is a big Pho consumer now.

Will's Big #3
Will turned the big #3 yesterday. He was extremely excited about the whole day, and we had a great time. In the morning we went to a friend's house to pet some bunnies and then headed to the playground for the afternoon. (I learned that at 8 months pregnant, I shouldn't be going down twirly slides.) That night we had a little party with pizza and cake, and then opened presents. His crazy parents bought him this massive giraffe tent (we didn't realize it opened quite so big), and he got lots of other nice gifts from his grandparents. Will of course missed all his cousins and family, but hopefully we'll see you all soon!
